Blasting at
operating limestone quarries in Miami-Dade
County
is conducted
on an as needed basis to provide materials for construction
activities. Typically, each operation blasts on an average of two
to three times weekly, per mining area, depending on the size of the
operation. Scheduling is set up by the mining operation in
conjunction with the blasting contractor, providing for separation
between blasts.
